Bright Futures

Bright Futures is Florida's Merit Scholarship Program. Seniors may earn a Bright Futures Scholarship by meeting eligibility requirements completed at a Florida high school and choosing to attend any in-state college or university.
Seniors apply for Bright Futures in December of senior year. Students may take the SAT/ACT to earn qualifying scores up through the June test of their senior year in high school.

Florida Shines is a website where you can log in and check your Bright Futures Status and GPA.
To check your Bright Futures GPA and status, follow these steps:
1. Go to www.floridashines.org
2. Go to the "Go to College" section
3. Go to "Pay For College"
4. Scroll down to "Bright Futures Scholarship (Check Now)"
Note: the Student Log-In is the student's external number. When logging in, it may be either your Social Security Number with an X at the end or your Student ID (06........)
